The location is brilliant - fully retreat from urban life with easy access to nearby beaches (15mins walk to Icart for example). The hotel is in a typical European style and I was amazed by its antique decoration. The swimming pool is free to residents and there is a certain time slot for residents access only. The room size is not very spacious but surely acceptable (bear in mind it's a European-styled Hotel!) and the patio outside is certainly a bonus point. Breakfast was really great with both buffet and a la carte options. Hotel staff are always friendly and always wish to help, which made my stay a great experience.

Very well located and served by good transport links. Sufficient shops and only minutes away from St Peter Port the capital. We ate at the hotel most of the time and can recommend it.You won’t be disappointed. A wonderful choice of food awaits.

St Martin is a beautiful area.
St Martin is a beautiful area. Really good bus services across the island or would recommend e-bikes for getting around (helpful for getting up the steep slopes from the bays!)
I wouldn’t recommend driving - Some very small rural lanes and lack of parking at points of interest.

It was idyllic!
It was idyllic! We loved the quiet location of our hotel, and it's grounds. The lovely little country lanes and perfect beaches were wonderful although I can see how negotiating them by car would be more stressful!. Def a walkers and bikers paradise. The beach "kiosks" were amazing..definitely not what English people would expect..more of a good sized catering establishment, just that the seating is usually all outside. With the weather we had that was not a problem...more an absolute delight!

Superb beaches all within very easy reach (closest was 20 minutes walk through the forest). Buses are only £1.25 for any journey or any length so very easy to get around without car - and there are a lot of buses so you rarely had to wait longer than 15 minutes. St Peter Port is just 20 minutes away max on the bus. You can get a ferry to Sark from St Peter Port - we paid £19.50 return, but you need to book at least a day ahead online. Guernsey folks are very friendly. When we arrived the bus dropped us off at the wrong place, but someone heard our dilemma and drove us to where we were staying about a mile away.

Spotlessly clean with good quality bedding, shower etc.
We were reliant on public transport and there was a bus stop within 5 minutes walk of the accommodation.
The heated pool was a lovely bonus. I'm not a regular swimmer but my pre-breakfast swims really set me up for the day.
Everything was well thought out and beautifully maintained. Exceeded expectations and we'd certainly stay again. Much nicer than a hotel as you can come and go as you please (a bonus if the weather lets you down) and it's great value for what you get.
Warm welcome and good, friendly service. The restaurant was good value for dinner and the breakfast was included in the price very good with plenty of hot and cold choices! Oh, and very nice coffee! The owner works at the hotel, rather than a manager, and that makes all the difference! The room was freshly decorated, clean and all the bedding and pillows were in new condition. Large bath, plenty of hot water... What more could I ask for?
Sad Restaurant not open Mon Tues. Code to entrance door not working . Key to room door difficult. . We couldn't find the number to ring for coffee. No staff available on leaving so couldn't pay bill. Paid later directly to your bank . A list of small points which suggest more detailed management is needed . Having said this we liked the hotel and the staff we did meet and hope to return. Truly . The staff in the restaurant accommodated us when we arrived later in the evening without a reservation. Not realizing we must have a reservation, we were in a bind. The location of the hotel is more remote, and many of the restaurants and other eating establishments were closed in town. And the bonus? The food was exceptional!!
I liked pretty much everything and it was probably the cheapest place on the island anyway. Easy to find, great pub downstairs and it is open until not too late, so there was really a silence after 23 or something. Free parking right behind the hotel, nice people running the place. All good! Likes it a lot actually!
Jonathan and the staff were very friendly. The bus stop to St Peter Port was across the road and there were regular buses in and out of the main port.
Breakfast was great and Jonathan happy to do different combinations . Bar open with pool table, darts and juke box with local residents.
Quate a sad poorly mantained hotel. no pool, shockinig room with bleach stained carpet, poor bathroom suit and all generally shabby. i would of left same day but the staff made this hotel. how on earth this hotel attracts a 4 star rating is beyond me. This needs looking at.
Thanks for the owner Queens Inn,to let as stay for a couple of days.
Reason to leave the very nice Hotel. My Partner, "wife", Whent Purley. So we had to fine a other Stay. Peaple at the Hotel very Friendly. Food Delicious.
Location was excellent, close to beaches, cliff walks and nearby village. Bus stop immediately outside Hotel. Breakfast was also excellent, plentiful and well cooked. Staff at breakfast extremely hlelpful and responsive.
Good location for easy access to the cliff walks and southern bays. A short bus ride to St Peter Port with a reasonably frequent service from right outside the hotel. Staff were all courteous and efficient.
The hotel was very clean, staff were very polite and helpful. Rooms were of a good standard and any problems were resolved quickly. The restaurant food was excellent although expensive.
-Nice location
-St. Peter Port can be reached by bus (bus stop is just in front of the Hotel)
-Airport can be reached by foot
-Teepot in the room
-Helpful stuff
