Great breakfast offering. Also thoroughly enjoyed the saunas and the outdoor pool. Rooms are equipped with very good shower and bath facilities, and are generally very comfortable. But what was best about this place was the friendly and relaxed vibe. The staff were very nice, everyone from the lovely women at the front desk to the cleaning staff, and the locals who drink at the bar were lots of fun to drink with, particularly one guy who very kindly gifted me a bottle of a very tasty chocolate chili schnapps he makes himself.

Saalbach Hinterglemm provides variety of slopes and there is something to offer for everyone, even for the heavy skiers. Jausen is a good start for the day as a first slope. Hinterglemm is little bit less busy and those days that are crowded, maybe to consider to take ski-bus there. In Hinterglemm parking is more easy. Saalbach has little bit toi many cars.

I have not been to the valley itself until this year, although I know the Zell am See region well. I must say that the Saalbach Valley offers a lot of possibilities for an active vacation in all seasons, the range of services is well organized and offers additional discounts with the Joker card, and there are also many culinary and food establishments.

Great area for summer activities like MTB (both downhill and Endurance/XC), trail running and hiking! Easy accesss to both Saalbach and Hinterglemm area and Leogang also pretty close. Great variety - no matter if your beginner or advanced in MTB and/or trail running. Also some nice really advanced/demanding hiking routes - for examle "7 Summits". Possibly also great area for gravel biking. Easy access to alpine terrain via ski lifts - also with bikes. Great variety of open restaurants and cafe´s in both Hinterglemm and Saalbach cities but also up in the mountain terrain. We lived at Thomsn Alpine Rock Hotel which we recommend 100% - super location, stunning view, bike service, wellness and simply a really nice hotel :-)

I came to join my son and family for hiking.
I came to join my son and family for hiking. It seemed to be low season. Very few guests. I had a lift just behind the hotel, wich was very good. My family stayed just 10 minutes away by foot, so we spent all evenings together. I did not explore the restaurants in the town, but streets were quite empty.
It is a very amasing little perl in the Alps though. Summer and winter.
We made very nice walks with amasing views. Sometimes demanding, though you take the lift up first.
I hope to return some day.

Extensive ski area, with long and varied runs, quick comfortable lifts and small queues.
You have to get 2 buses to travel from Saalbach to Kaprun at the other end of the ski area, which would take 1hr 10min each way so although the area offers lots of runs you have to use public transport. Otherwise Zell Am See, Saalbach and Hinterglem are well linked.
Good use of snow canons and artificial snow, well maintained pistes.
Not snow sure for mid march onwards (which is when we went) and if it's warm then it is poor skiing after 12pm and there wouldn't be any off piste.
Lively resort, good bars and cafes.
Well linked lifts in each area.

Hotel Bauer offers a cozy and intimate and personal atmosphere carried by Silvia and her husbond who runs this family hotel. The service is top notch and staying there felt very home like. I was there to mountainbike, and Silvas was very helpfull with maps and and tips to make the best of my trip. I was actually planning to go to another area after a couple of days, but Saalbach/Hinterglemm and Hotel Bauer was so nice, that I stayed there for 10 days. For those 10 days Hotel Bauer absolutely felt like HOME.
EVERYTHING. Hannes and his family showed great hospitality. It is so clear how much love they put into their hotel. There is so much attention-to-detail and history in everything. I don’t even want to give away all the surprises but breakfast, the lounging area, and sauna were incredible. Hannes also gave the perfect recommendations for hiking and mountain biking. Our room was also quite spacious. Everyone who stays in this area must stay at Pension Seighof. We will be coming back!
We booked the hotel for the rave on snow event and arrived on check-in day really late in the night, the receptionist was so kind and prepared our keys nevertheless. The variety of food during breakfast was really nice and the staff very kind. During our stay we felt so welcome and appreciated, there's the possibility we will come back next year for rave on snow to stay at the Bärenbachhotel.
Fantastic location, 5/10 minute walk to the main village (so much quieter than staying right outside all the busy bars/restaurants) but with a ski bus stop right outside the hotel and a lifts close too. Owners were lovely and very helpful with lots of information about getting around and where best to ski for us etc. Nice breakfast, comfy rooms and beds and super clean!
We had 3 properly separate double rooms each with a shower room. All the benefit of a hotel room but with shared kitchen/seating area. Wellness area very attractive and popular in our party. Very convenient for bus stop and excellent supermarket. The owner changed the towels midweek and was helpful when required. Well equipped property.
Charming family hotel with its own history and atmosphere. Superb breakfast! Fish, fruits, prosecco, everything you can imagine. Very friendly owners and staff. Free cakes buffet every afternoon. Nice spa zone, warm pool outside and inside. Water in bottles in your room every day. Very soft tap water from nature. Ski pass in the hotel.
Staff, food, infinity pool, spa, atmosphere.. the ultimate in luxury combined with a cosy friendly vibe. The owners absolutely know how to create a space that feels high end in every way but making you feel like your at home. Best hotel we’ve ever stayed in. Sheer perfection
Definitely the best stay we had on our trip to austria. It was that good that we got back for another unplanned night. A very welcoming staff members, outstanding half board - dinner was 4 course menu, new modern rooms with a wonderful view, and free joker card.
Small hotel run by a very friendly helpful team. No pretence about it being something it’s not, it’s an honest value for money place run by Anjelika and her team.. they always have a smile on their face always happy to chat and always helpful
Everything! Rooms, food are great, staff is very kind and tentative and the entire hotel is of high quality with the basement ski lift and lockers. Would definitely come back again! The location is also perfect for starting the skiing.
The hotel is very clean and it has a great location near the lift and Saalbach center. My room has amazing mountain view. Sauna in the hotel allows to relax and recover after skiing. The staff is really friendly. Highly recommended
A wonderful hotel. Staff brilliant and extremely responsive to all requests. All inclusive deal was excellent. Breakfast and dinner buffets fantastic. Loved the vibe at the hotel. Lovely spa area. Already family favourite.
clear room, excellent breakfast and very friendly staff. The hotel is a stone's throw from the centre of Saalbach, close to the cable cars, etc. Parking is easy and there is a storage available for bikes in the cellar.
Breakfast was excellent. Extensive choice in terms of continental.
Loved the hotel design and general feel of of it. Great ski & boot room.
Staff very friendly & helpful.
Can ski back to hotel.
Breakfast was basic but good. Service excellent. Room very generous size for a ski hotel. The honesty bar was a lovely idea and very reasonable. Quiet location just a short walk from the centre.
Staff was super friendly!!! room for bikes, parking very close included, good location, nice view, good hotel interior, very good value for room in Hinterglemm incl. breakfast and dinner. :)
