The accommodation was quirky and something different to the norm. It was like a hobbit house - rather endearing!

My wife and I have stayed many times, but the country pub feel has gone. At nine on a Thursday evening, the pub and restaurant were empty. I arrived, at 21.00 checked in and proceeded for my separately booked online dinner reservation. The bar staff team seemed disconnected amongst themselves, let alone able to service the empty bar. I said I’d booked a 21.30 table on their website? They said the chef had gone home and it wasn’t possible yet I’d booked the table online? It was confirmed for 21.30.
Two other couples arrived to check into their rooms and the rooms hadn’t even been cleaned? By 22.00? I did get a fish n chip supper but the pub remained empty until closing time. Sadly, this place seems to be ‘over’. I wouldn’t bother booking one of the bland rooms. Because if you have unchanged bedding, an empty country pub with uninterested staff, why pay the price? Go elsewhere.
