Bautzen is a very attractive place with plenty of shopping facilities. The town itself could improve its historic appeal by pointing out more of its historic sights. Nice little medieval town with impressive Sorbian (slavic group) heritage. The town was a little bit quiet in January, but still very welcoming. It is pretty easy to get there by train from Dresden (or Berlin) . I would recommend a 2 days stay medieval town exploration, stroll at Spree around the mills and old houses, and for a taste of Sorbian culture and great local food.MariaPortugal - 10Scored 10

The center of the town is a couple of minutes' walk away. When I said that I would leave early and would not have breakfast, they offered to prepare a takeaway breakfast.
