We stayed in the two-bed room bed and breakfast, and it was superb. Sara is a fantastic cook, the home is beautifully decorated, and the location is really great. We were able to see so much and still be 'home' to relax before bed. Achalochan House has been the best stay on our 21 day journey.

The property has an outdoor dining area. We loved EVERYTHING about this property! It is beautifully appointed with tons of extras to make your stay more comfortable. From the milk, OJ, bread for toast, butter, jam, coffee, tea, and of course the welcoming dram of whisky, we were extremely happy campers! The place was spotless and very well lit (poor lighting is one of my pet peeves in hotels!). We also loved how cutely it was decorated and the bathrooms were large with fantastic showers. You are only two miles from Portree, so very convenient. If traveling to Skye again, we would stay there again in a heartbeat!!

It was a little way from the main touristy places but we enjoyed getting to see more of the island and having somewhere so clean and comfy to come back to.

The accommodation is non-smoking. Peaceful location and nice view from the pod door. In the morning there were a lot of cute birds jumping in front of the pod. The owners were very kind and helpful - I got a flat tyre and they quickly borrowed me a pump, and offered information about local garages. Indeed saved my trip!

It was cosy, spacious and comfortable, with decor that was modern and tasteful. We greatly appreciated the kitchen in particular as it was well equipped with everything needed to prepare a meal, right down to utensils, cooking oil and salt. We also loved the additional creature comforts - the electric fireplace, the heater in the bathroom, the very cool bathroom mirror that doubled as a bluetooth speaker and the electric blanket in the bedroom. As an added bonus, the views from our place were gorgeous, making this a wonderful stay overall.
