This was our second stay at the apt and we will return again. Brilliant location, the building is lovely and quiet. The apt as last time is spotlessly clean, bed is so comfortable, everything you will need for a short or longer stay is in the apt. Lovely touches with the milk, tea/coffee, mini toiletries etc.
View from both the living room/kitchen and bedroom is great, sit on the window ledge for some good people watching. Stones throw from the towns bars, restaurants and shops, parking is plentiful nearby. Dave & Diane are great hosts and keep you updated prior to your stay, cannot recommend enough, wish we could have stayed longer.

Hotel was fine as always, but imagine my surprise at receiving TWO parking tickets a few weeks later for £100 each. I was not informed at the check-in desk about the new parking arrangements where vehicles have to be registered with the hotel, and staff failed to mention the new parking system in order to access the free car parking facilities. . I have been a regular guest every month for about five years, so just a warning if you stay at Ibis Styles Barnsley.

RECEPTION STAFF GOOD.
RECEPTION STAFF GOOD. LIFT & ROOM DIRTY, SHOWER SHOCKINGLY BAD (LOW PRESSURE), BED UNCOMFORTABLE - BREAKFAST EXPENSIVE BUT STAFF AND FOOD GOOD. PAID B&B DOUBLE ROOM £54 + £10 FOR BREAKFAST. THE ROOM WAS PROBABLY WORTH £45!!...IF THE SHOWER HAD WORKED PROPERLY AND THE BED WAS COMFORTABLE. IT'S A 2 STAR HOTEL.

The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient, particularly the bar and wait staff. The Fairway is very busy at the weekend but it was never difficult to get someone’s attention and assistance. The menu - while not overly extensive - offered plenty of choices and proved to be very good value.
The floors on the first floor are very squeaky and the hot water in the bathrooms is really hot, something we’re not used to in Australia.
The venue itself is well situated with easy access to the motorways and main cities nearby.
We’d stay there again.

Booked a room for 2 adults and a child under 1 year old, our allocated room was not accessible by with a pushchair so had to accept a lesser rated one.
Aside from that the hotel was very nice and the staff were excellent. Well located for motorway.

Beautiful country side around hotel , easy to find and not in the town off Barnsley .central place to go off and visit surrounding area . Friendly helpful people . Lovely visit to Cannon Hall Farm in Crawthorne . Never been this far up north before 😀
Unforeseen circumstances arose,Trudi was ill and not able to fulfill the niceties in her house let, We were offered to be put up in a hotel but this was not at all suitable for our family,we had a conversation and come to joint agreement I would clean bathroom & kitchen & clean laundry was sent by courier,I made up two beds the linen was perfect also the towels. Also the pub on top of the road amazing so friendly & welcoming. The house was a perfect stay for us & we would definitely use it again.
Good sized room, we were upgraded on arrival as hotel not busy but a nice surprise. Bathroom was modern with a water timed shower so good ‘ green’ credentials. Nice bar area outside, designed in keeping with an old Manor House , didn’t eat there or use the leisure facilities so can’t comment on those. Hotel and surroundings quiet despite only being a 10 min drive to the M1 and overall it is spacious with a really nice atmosphere.
There was very fast responses from owner to anything which was really helpful.
Location is like 5 minutes walk from centre.
Room was clean and there is Lidl, kfc, costa just across the street.
Safety was priority with 2 key doors for downstairs, code key for entry to room areas and code key to personal room (just make sure you carry a code with you at all times in case you forget it to not lock yourself out :) )
Fantastic location, walking distance from Bransley town centre and there were alot of shops nearby such the ASDA, as the accommadation is self catered, having the ASDA close by was very convienent.
The hosts were quickj and responsive and answered any questions or requests that we had, we were also given a guide at the property of things to do in Barnsley, resreraunts and bars to go to which was a nice touch.
Charming hotel set in extended beautiful gardens and spectacular Yorkshire views. The staff were welcoming and warm. Our room number, 8, although not overlooking the spectacular views was spacious, came with a bath and shower and plentiful coffee, tea and biscuits. The breakfast selection was extensive and of good quality and I would suggest very good value.
This is an inexpensive hotel. It is on the outskirts of Barnsley and very near the motorway junction. The parking is free and a large park.. I think you probably need a car. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts are particularly good-large, fresh and inexpensive. The hotel has not been refurbished for many years and is a bit distressed.
The cottage was perfect for us, it was lovely and clean and comfortable with all the required amenities. The location was good for us as we had easy access into Barnsley. The village was in walking distance and there was a nice country walk for the dogs which lead into a cricket meadow.
The building and grounds were beautiful. We
also liked that, upon request, we were moved to a “quieter” room the first night. However, the “quieter” room on the second and third night turned out to be terribly noisy due to unruly hotel guests.
Lovely accommodation close to centre of Barnsley. Very well presented with some nice touches you don't often see and I am a seasoned traveller!. I slept brilliantly as the bed was so comfy and you have the option of having a bath or shower.
Good location from centre about 10/15min walk, easy self check in, free parking down the side street to right of the food place in between houses. Host replies very quick😊
Convenient for Barnsley town centre and Interchange. Well-equiped shared kitchen with fridge, freezer and cupboard space assigned to each room. In quiet side street.
