A modern hotel in the city of Stoke-on-Trent, centrally located within the Midlands and close to Alton Towers, with excellent motorway, road links and rail links to the Northwest..

The receptionist was so professional and even gave myself and my daughter a warm cookie and even pre checked for allergies
In a peaceful, rural location, this country house was originally built in 1845. Today, the house has been converted into a luxurious privately owned hotel with many beautiful original features.

Superb breakfast, warm and friendly staff - a real personal touch. It is so much nicer staying somewhere you feel welcome than a corporate chain.

For special request I stated that it was my son's 8th Birthday. They decorated the room with balloons, banners and left a birthday card and some sweets. It was lovely to enter the room and see his face

Rooms are excellent, very clean and comfortable my only problem was no opening windows for fresh air, not a fan of air con so room was uncomfortably warm even with heating turned off.

Good location near shops and restaurants, free parking, friendly staff, big rooms, comfy beds, clean linen. Lowest price I could find in the area so not bad value considering that. Didn't eat at restaurant but food smelled good and reasonable prices.

It was adequate for one nights stay.
As we were the only guest we had the communal kitchen to ourselves which might not have been satisfactory if being shared.
Perfect for families, friends, business and couples.
Perfect for families, friends, business and couples. So much to do around the area. Local tescos, aldi, halfords, b&m, mc Donald's, Gregg's, and other big named shops. Also there is a retail mall about 10 min drive away. Beautiful area with gorgeous trees and scenery. Local to alton towers and a mile down the road is monkey forest, the uks only place where you can walk amongst 140 monkeys. A must visit!

We went to Alton Towers which was great but extremely expensive and very crowded so only managed 3 rides, due to the queing times.
Didn't really see much more of Stoke apart from our hotel, which was very nice.

As previously stated - there was nothing positive in the slightest. However, on reading some other reviews (wish I’d read them before booking) it was reassuring to see similar comments and photographs. As for those people giving it 9/10 and 10/10 reviews are either from the hotel, or being paid to write a totally dishonest review. The place is desperate…and no matter how you try to dress it up - it is not fit for purpose and should be removed from booking.com

My husband chose the holiday.
My husband chose the holiday. I booked the hotel and its location as I was born in Stoke on Trent. It was near to Wedgwood World and other attraction we wanted to visit. The area has changed vastly since I lived there and we relied on a Satnav to get around by car. We stayed for 4 nights. On the last day we visited Trentham gardens shopping centre which was well worth the visit. However, we spent more time there and didn't get to see the gardens which were done by Capability Brown. The swimming pool we used to visit when I was a child was long gone and I would have been interested to visit the gardens. We would stay in this hotel again due to its convenient location.. Stoke on Trent is the 'Potteries'. It's industrial era cam to a close in the 20th century with its coal mines closes, pottery firms moved out and the Shelton steel works closed down. I haven't lived there for over 50 years and it was good to come back to see the town is still thriving. I did not visit the Stadium or Regent Theatre. I did visit Moorcroft and Middleton potteries. We would have visited Gladstone pottery but it was closed.
The staff were very helpful and welcoming when we arrived. The location is excellent, within easy walking distance of the King’s Hall in Stoke, in which there was an event taking place that we were attending. Potbank is a complex with a converted warehouse where the aparthotel is situated, above an excellent cafe/bar/bistro, which we ate at and which had live music. The accommodation itself is quite basic but quiet and fine for 1-2 nights. Would recommend this place and would stay again if have reason to be in Stoke again.
Breakfast was hot anyway enjoyable for the hot selection, although we had no mushrooms throughout our stay and ran out of hashbrowns after only 1 Breakfast service, leaving two without either options. I eat a veggie hot breakfast so was a little disappointed. Your continental selection was fabulous. Staff were second to none. I normally stay at premier inn, and it was my first experience with the group. Let's just say I will be switching my hotel prefetence to Holidsy Inn/Express.
A very spacious flat (especially the bathroom!), clean, with a well-equipped functional kitchen, and comfy large bed. In a quiet though run-down looking street, it's a convenient 10-*minute walk from the Stoke rail station, and about the same time to a couple of supermarkets. The flat is upstairs in an old building, but it has been refurbished to a generally good standard... not 'flash' but cosy and homely. We'd readily stay here again if ever back in Stoke-on-Trent.
The hotel staff were absolutely fantastic. They allowed us to drop our luggage in at 10 am due to going to the nearby water world. The room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Best sleep I've had in a while to be honest. My two kids also slept well which is rare! The buffet breakfast was really good. Loved the hot coffee selection. Last hotel we had cheap nasty coffee. Keep up the good work guys you were all 👍
Our room was simple, clean and comfortable, just what we wanted. The staff were all wonderful and couldn't be more helpful. They certainly went the extra mile! The food was exceptional and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening meal and couldn't fault anything! Breakfast was amazing too! We would definitely return to the Borough Arms Hotel!
The breakfast was amazing the staff were wonderful and the hotel was immaculate first we stayed at Hilton on Thursday and Friday 1st June 2nd June booked under my partners name Eric mee we then went on to Liverpool but the hotel we booked for 3 nights was appalling so we booked the Hilton agsin and drive back to Stoke on trent
We arrived late in the night and were very warmly welcomed by the reception staff, he accommodated our big group in the best possible way. The hotel is a bit old but it brings with it a traditional charm and feel. Would definitely recommend for anyone visiting stoke, the location is great!
It was nice that they had a pool. The reception was open 24 hours and so was the bar. The parking was decent and there was a little playground outside for the children. The TV had a decent amount of channels. And it wasn't loud there like it can be at some "cheap" hotels.
The hotel was modern, clean, and staff were helpful. There was free breakfast included, and this was hit or miss, based on who the chef was that day. Our full English was great the first morning, and subpar the second. The gym was small, but good!
This is a big hotel, with very large airy rooms, restaurant and bar - felt very clean and comfortable. The staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly. Every effort made to compensate for ongoing renovation and lack of some amenities.
- location is good as the hotel is literally outside the station; there's also a bus service 1 minute away from hotel, which goes to Trentham Gardens, and Hanley.
- breakfast is good - could have some more items, such as sweet option.
Fab city centre location, plenty of car parking on-site. Pay at hotel reception. Had a double suite, room 107. Nicely decorated, clean, all windows open. Very friendly helpful staff.
I loved the independent feel of the hotel. Amazing staff! The breakfast was superb. I would even say it rivals, If not, beats premier inn’s breakfast. So well done to the chefs.
Clean , tidy and looks fantastic, happy it was in stoke city centre , which was lovely to see , and not too far away from Train station , and would stop again
