The location, the comfortable bed, the quality of the sheets, the pillows and pretty much everything.
The staff are super nice and really take care of you. I love the fact that they had a restaurant below with an amazing wine list, and the views are to die for. Breakfast was full of lots of cakes and other alternatives. A family owned property and relaxing environment.

Montalcino is a quiet hill town that we love returning to often. We love walking all around town. A 4 hour hike gets you to Sant' Antimo Abbey and then you can take the bus back to town. We love eating at Il Moro and at Osteria di Porta al Cassero as well as Re di Macchia. Great town at the winter holidays!

We stayed in Montalcino two nights, which was about right for people who like wine but aren’t fanatics. Drove all over, got lost, went to Montepulciano (very crowded, steep and hard to get to—was very glad we stayed in Montalcino instead!) enjoyed the Abbey de Sant Altimo south of town, not overrun by people.

If you wish to visit Tuscany, Montalcino is the ideal place to stay. It's a lovely, attractive village with plenty of places to eat and drink. This region also has a lot of good restaurants. It is nevertheless quite close to other important towns and sites that are far more touristic, so I would recommend this area if you want to have a lot of options without being in the most touristic and busy locations around.

Fantastic little town. Some great restaurants.
Fantastic little town. Some great restaurants. Right in the best wine area in Italy. You will love it! Re di Macchia Restorante was so good. The best Florentine steak we ever had. Good prices and the owner Antonio gave us round after round of free Limincello and grappa. He is the best!!!!
Great house located on the Main Street with a beautiful view. Rooms are great and very comfortable. Simone is great and informative about Montalcino, he took me to my car to pick up my bag in the pouring rain as the street the house is located on you cannot drive down without a permit. He then had me follow him in my car to the free parking lot before bringing me back to the accomodation. Lovely and hospitable guy!
The property is a delightful reflection of this beautiful town of Montalcino! The location is excellent and all of the furnishings and amenities were perfect. Staff was most accommodating and facility has everything needed. Valet parking offered within this zone restricted location - that deserves a 10 right there!!! My only regret was staying for one night.
The location was perfect. Right as you entered Montalcino. You could walk from the hotel into the town easily. The view from the hotel was absolutely beautiful! Especially eating breakfast on the veranda. The breakfast was excellent. Fresh cut up fruit salad, homemade cakes etc. Very nice. Air conditioning in the rooms was a plus.
Beautiful architecture and incredible rooms. The hotel is a cozy paradise in the middle of Toscana. The staff (Karla and Giulia) were incredibly nice and tried to accommodate most of our needs. They let us check in early (around noon), but highly recommend everyone else to try to stick to their 4pm check in time.
Great location in Montalcino literally across from the castle with nearby parking. Great starting point to launch to the vineyards or cooking class. They also have an enoteca and restaurant on site. Rooms were good with nice shower and comfortable bed perfect after exploring all day the tuscan countryside.
We loved Montalcino and Albergo Giardino. Very good breakfast very cleaned. Nida is a fantastic person, she was so lovely with us. We had a problem with our car and she came to pick us up 20km from the hotel at 11.00pm and helped us find a solution for our car. A big hug from all my family!
This was a really beautiful apartment, very nicely appointed, comfortable bed, very spacious, fantastic location, right in the heart of historic Montalcino. And a private garage too!
The hostess was exquisite and we loved everything about this place. Highly recommended.
The hotel is surrounded by greenery and wine yards, that’s what I wanted for this trip in Toscana with a fantastic view looking over the valley.
It’s respectively small property, few guests, the perfect getaway from chaos of the city and people.
Flat in a characteristic old building, clean and comfortable.
Centrally located and mostly quiet. Restaurants nearby.
I found Montalcino has changed a lot from the village i had visited in the early 2000s. Very commercially focused these days.
We had a great time at beautiful hotel of Sara and Michele. Nicely decorated room and great location just one minute away from one of the best restaurants of Montalcino. The homemade breakfast was delicious. We can’t wait to visit again!
Great location and great views. Parking comfortably on site. Fantastic pool.
Eleonora, from the hotel staff, was super friendly and helpful. She really made the difference in our visit to Montalcino and Val D'Orcia.
Super modern and comfortable villa, amazing breakfast, great local recommendations by Simonetta and Lucia. And of course the lovely wine and wine tasting. Great location very near to Montalcino and various wineries.
The location is set on a hill overlooking the Tuscan countryside near Montalcino village. Accommodation is clean and bright. Good value for a night or two.
