It's a small family hotel ran by the Kundl family. They are very nice people, especially Dieter, who is responsible for the weather situation! Hotel Kristall is located on a hill close to town center and main road. it's just a bit of walking from hotel ski room to a lift, really comfy. Breakfast was good. Facility is great, very clean and well kept. It was warm and comfy. Good for the skiers. It was my first stay in Obertauern, and hotel Kristall hasn't given up on me :)

Hotel Kristall is right next to the ski slope in the center of Obertauern, only a few steps away from the ski elevator and the cross-country ski run. This family-run 4-star hotel features a sauna with infrared cabin. There is also a children’s playroom, a table tennis room, a breakfast room with panoramic views and a hotel bar, which is open daily from 17:00. An evening menu is available with small delicacies. Free parking and a parking garage (at an additional cost) are available at the Kristall. A practice elevator for children is right in front of Hotel Kristall. Ski schools, restaurants, shops, and a sports center are close by.
Couples in particular like the location – they rated it 9.5 for a two-person trip.
