Greeted with a smile and for 3 days we were treated like royalty. Information for the area and directions was so helpful and made our visit so much easier.

The charming chalet-style Fassbind hotel is quietly situated in Beatenberg high above Lake Thun facing the imposing Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau mountains. The location was perfect for us. Really close to the bus stop and Interlaken. Our hosts were amazing and made our stay very special. The breakfast was great, we particularly enjoyed the fresh bread and the delicious cheese! A rather nice touch was the little bag outside our room which had a different treat in it each day! Also our hosts were very knowledgeable about the area and recommended beautiful places to visit and things to do, such as the mountain party! Thanks to Dani we were able to take the car train from Kandersteg in order to cross into the Valais region! We will definitely go back and stay there! Eric the cat and Heidi the dog were gorgeous!

Vastaanotto oli erittäin miellyttävä, omistaja keskusteli kanssamme pitkään pienellä ulkoterassilla. Huoneen varustus vastasi kaikkiin tarpeisiimme. Kerrokseen pääsi hissillä. Polkupyörämme olivat hyvässä suojassa ulkosalla. Huoneesta hienot näköalat vuoristoon, rinteiden vieressä riippulautailijoita. (Laitan oheen pari kuvaa ympäristöstä ja hotellin julkisivusta)

The traditional decor and authentic feel. The lobby and garden outside is beautiful! Customer service was amazing at this hotel. Pascal was super nice and very helpful. He guided us on how to get around and gave us a lot of information about the tourist spots and attractions in the area. The staff at this hotel went above and beyond to make our stay very welcoming and comfortable.

You need to stay here, better than expected. We stayed for a week, and even contemplated cancelling some of our trip elsewhere to stay longer. Super relaxing, friendly staff, can rent activities like paddle boarding on the lake (but is very expensive), or just lay on the grass for the day. They supply you with beach towels. Gave us free passes to use the busses and boat that operates out of the huge lake right at your doorstep. Bus stop right out the front to take you to the main stations/city. Beautiful running tracks around. Breakfast was a large buffet with all you can think of! Perfect location away from the loud tourists while still in a central location. Mini fridge and lots of storage space. We will be back!! This hotel has our heart and you can view the snowy alps right from your balcony overlooking the lake. (24 year old couple).

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at. The breakfast is nice and the hotel is situated away from the busy part of town where the train station/shops are. Despite this, it’s only a 5 min walk to the centre. If I am in Interlaken again, I’ll definitely be staying.
