Criccieth
Excellent location overlooking Cardigan Bay, Apartment had everything for an excellent stay. All supermarkets you could need in Porthmadog around 5 miles away. Good location for exploring Gwynedd. Kitchen and lounge area a good size with excellent sea views all round.
All the staff in Royal Sportsman Hotel were super nice but professional — offering suggestions on where to eat, what to do, how to go to attractions etc. They were clearly short-staffed — I saw many of them worked long hours (especially the F&B members) but yet they were cheery and helpful to me throughout my stay. The room was exceptional, cosy and clean. The location was only 5 minutes walk from Porthmadog train station.
Check in was easy. Plenty of parking available. Staff were friendly and dinner was amazing, chicken curry is best the i have had
Our room was very comfortable & clean. The staff was very friendly & helpful. The view of the lake from our window was amazing
Lovely old characterful hotel with nice grounds. Staff were very helpful and Restaurant was great.
The setting is so unique and you feel as if you’ve gone back centuries to how things looked then. Please know it was very clean and well maintained. They’ve mastered a medieval feel. The on-site dining was tremendous.
Phenomenal breakfast! Kind, warm, and welcoming staff. comfortable beds, great showers, and great location.
Beautiful hotel, modern with a older twist, we only stayed 2 nights which wasnt enough, food in restaurant and bistro was beautiful both nights!
The service was amazing and the two bedroom cottage was the best place to call home for the night! It was so easy to get to Portmeirion the next day and the food and drinks where sublime!!
Excellent location, staff were lovely. Really happy with our stay here. Would recommend!
Excellent location with beautiful views to Cadair Idris. staff were so friendly and helpful.
Location was amazing and loving the huts outside
The apartment was beautiful and new, the bathroom was broken and there was water leaking in the floors. There is no washer and dryer. I asked the host to extend it and unfortunately he extended the reservation from outside the booking site without informing me. He greedily overcharged my card and did not accept a refund on the last night, before which I canceled the reservation 24 hours earlier under the pretext of no other customers. He also raised the price by £1 for each previous night and no refunds were ever given. After a long conversation, only 50% of the last night was refunded.
Nice and private cottage, beautiful garden, and lovely hosts, Paula and Tina. Central location for walks on the Pembrokeshire Coast path, we enjoyed especially the walks on Strumble Head and st Davids!
The Dragon’s Den was quaint and had amazing views. Three of us stayed comfortably and it was a perfect base for climbing Snowdon. Parking was free outside. Perfect location for climbing the amazing but terrifying Watkin Path.
Friendly welcome, lovely room. Excellent breakfast. Would definitely recommend the Firecat.
We loved everything !! The location is perfect, there is so much space for a family and you have all the facilities and more ! We have never stayed at a self catering holiday where we have been supplied with so much ! And the the doggy package was super cool!
The relaxing area and comfortable accommodation.
