Van der Valk Hotel Hoorn is located next to motorway A7 and offers accommodations with free WiFi. Alkmaar is 24 km away. It's a 4-star hotel, but it's actually 5-star luxury. It's part of a larger complex that includes a casino, a restaurant, and probably other facilities that I didn't visit. The room is super clean, quite spacious, and very quiet with a great view on a wide green area. The bathroom was very nice, with a shower and a bath tub. My baby enjoyed her private swimming pool immensely! The location is just off the highway so it's very easy to reach. I also took the car for a 6m drive to a Halal restaurant, so the city is just a few minutes of driving. The Wi-Fi was open, no password needed. This is really convenient. The breakfast was superb. Very spacious restaurant and enough variety to satisfy all tastes. It's also available till 10:30, which is unusual (usually till 9:30 or 10:00 in most hotels I've been to). All in all, I'm definitely coming back in case I come back to Hoorn.

Die Port van Cleve is a cosy hotel situated in the city centre of Enkhuizen, along the harbor. The train station and tourist information office are a 3-minute walk away. Cafe, restaurant and hotel combined, all three excellent and an authentic Dutch experience. Location is excellent alongside harbour and town itself small and full of charm.

De Magneet is located along the harbor of Hoorn, within walking distance of the city centre. The hotel has a private parking and an intimate café. Clean, comfortable, free parking, excellent location and very good breakfast!

Located 39 km from Rembrandt House, Heavens Hotel offers 4-star accommodation in Hoorn and features a terrace, a restaurant and a bar. One of the finest hotels we have ever stayed in. Incredible amount of $$ spent to beautifully renovate a church. Unique in so many ways. Must see it to believe it. Cherish at the front desk went out of her way to help us with a serious issue with the river cruise company. She made several calls and saved us from real problems. Rooms were perfect. It is impossible for me to rate everything higher. It was incredible!!!!!

Made to order breakfast, well presented and tasty. The room was large and had two chairs and ample space for suitcases.

Located near the Markermeer, Hotelhuisjes Oosterleek offers detached rooms (Little Hotel Houses) next to a farmhouse.. Each has a terrace with views. The whole experience was first class. The welcoming upon arrival. clearly nothing would be too much trouble but equally we were not disturbed. The accommadation was more than we expected and extreemly clean and tidy. Very comfortable bed and other facilities.

SuyderSee Hotel, formerly known as Appartement Hotel Driebanen, offers rooms and apartments in the centre of Enkhuizen, 10 minutes’ walk from the edge of the IJselmeer. It features packed lunches. SuyderSee had last minute availability for us and it was a perfect fit for our family! The staff were so nice and accommodating. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The morning breakfast was perfect. We would stay again!

Hotel Medemblik is situated in a charming town set on one of Europe's largest inland lakes, the IJsselmeer. Ideally located in the city centre, you can walk around the town and park your car for free.... Simply a very good, small and nicely located hotel. I can warmly reccomend!
